The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA) established increased minimum energy efficiency standards for incandescent bulbs. The EISA eliminated medium based 40W, 60W, 75W, and 100W incandescent light bulbs over the past few years.
HD Supply offers many incandescent replacement bulbs, including halogen, compact fluorescent, and LED options.
Legislation regarding general service T5 and T12 linear fluorescent bulbs took effect July 14, 2012. The 700 series T8 linear fluorescent bulb legislation took effect July 14, 2014.
Bulbs manufactured after these dates must meet new standards based on efficiency and minimum lumens per watt (LPW) requirements based on color temperature.
This legislation applies to the manufacturer of lamps, but we are able to sell through our remaining inventory after legislation effect dates. HD Supply has also introduced many alternative bulbs within the new guidelines.
If you are changing from T12 to T8 system, please note that the bulbs and ballasts will need to be updated. You can't run T8 bulbs on T12 ballasts.
